It is very likely that you'll have to say what food and drink you like or dislike in your Speaking exam. So make sure you can say these things really confidently. We will revise how to say you like or dislike something and we will also look at the verbs (doing words) involved.
manger = to eat | boire = to drink |
je mange = I eat | je bois = I drink |
il mange = he eats | il boit = he drinks |
elle mange = she eats | elle boit = she drinks |
Pierre mange = Pierre eats | Pierre boit = Pierre drinks |
ils mangent = they eat | ils boivent = they drink |
Pierre et Anne mangent = Pierre and Anne eat | Pierre et Anne boivent = Pierre et Anne drink |
As you can see, the parts of the verb change, depending on who is doing the eating and drinking.
An important thing to remember is that if you are using a name, you use the same part of the verb as he or she. If there are two names, you use the same part of the verb as saying "they".
Secondly, remember je mange = I eat or I am eating. There is one way of saying it in French, but two ways in English!
I like to eat... = j'aime manger...
I like to drink... = j'aime boire...
